"Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival" Now Open at Epcot

Guests visiting Epcot® at Walt Disney World Resort can now get a look into the visionary minds behind some of the world’s most iconic animated films today at the “Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival,” located in Magic Eye Theater in the Imagination Pavilion.

Put on their 3D glasses and enter the imaginative worlds of three animated shorts – “Get A Horse,” “For The Birds” and “La Luna” – which will burst to life on the screen like never before.
Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival

“Get a Horse” stars Mickey Mouse and features Walt Disney as the voice of the iconic character. This black-and-white, hand-drawn short follows Mickey, Minnie and their friends Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow as they delight in a musical wagon ride – until Peg-Leg Pete shows up and tries to run them off the road.

In “For The Birds,” a flock of small birds perch on a telephone wire. As a large dopey bird tries to join them, the birds of a feather can’t help but make fun of him – and their clique mentality proves embarrassing in the end.

Finally, “La Luna” is the timeless fable of a young boy coming of age in the most peculiar circumstances. Tonight is the very first time his Papa and Grandpa are taking him to work. In an old wooden boat they row far out to sea, and with no land in sight, they stop and wait. A big surprise awaits the little boy as he discovers his family’s most unusual line of work. Should he follow the example of his Papa or his Grandpa? Will he be able to find his own way amidst their conflicting opinions and timeworn traditions?

Disney Characters Temporarily Move for Dinner from Goofy's Kitchen to PCH Grill at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel

Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland® Hotel is temporarily closing to get a fresh new look. In the meantime, the Disney characters are headed to PCH Grill at Disney's Paradise PierHotel for dinner from Jan. 19 – Feb. 9, 2016.

The restaurant’s beachy, laid-back atmosphere is a fun spot for the new Beach Side Bonfire Dinner Buffet with Mickey & Friends featuring classic California dishes — smoked tri-tip, baby back ribs, fish tacos, sautéed shrimp, steamed clams, mac-n-cheese, fried chicken and mini hamburgers and hot dogs right off the grill.  Cap off your meal with a sweet ending and “perpetual summer” beverages, including watermelon lemonade and our signature peach-and-blood-orange tea.

The PCH Grill’s popular Surf’s Up Breakfast with Mickey & Friends continues – an all-you-care-to-enjoy spread that includes an omelet station, flatbreads, Mickey waffles, banana-caramel French toast, parfaits, smoothies, beef chilaquiles, smoked salmon and more. The Ganachery, A New Premium Chocolate Boutique, Now Open at Disney Springs

Chocolate fans are in for a treat as The Ganachery, a new one-of-a-kind chocolate shop, opens at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort. Located in The Landing, this charming jewel-box shop is reminiscent of an apothecary in another era.

The Ganachery features 16 different kinds of handcrafted ganache (a rich mixture of chocolate and cream) infused with exotic spices and flavors from around the world.  These chocolates fall into four flavor profiles: spices, such as chipotle and cinnamon, classic, such as coffee and caramel; trendy, such as Egyptian sea salt and matcha yuzu; and floral/fruit, such as mint and raspberry.

Plus, nine varieties of custom-made chocolate bars (not made in house) celebrate Disney’s iconic destinations and the “Fab Five” (Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck).

Make sure The Ganachery and Disney Springs is on your list of places to visit while at Walt Disney World!
