I sailed on the Disney Dream for Magical Travel's training sailing and let me tell you, this cruise was a DREAM! From the way Disney Cruise Line welcomed us (and the rest of the guests) on board, to the level of service from the Cast Members throughout the ship, to the staterooms, to the food - I was constantly blown away at how amazing it was. I tend to get asked if a Disney Cruise Lines is worth the price; I can say without a doubt, Disney Cruise Lines are worth every penny I've ever paid to be on their ships.
Let's start with the staterooms! (Warning LOTS of pictures ahead!) There are four main categories for Disney Cruise Line staterooms - Interior Stateroom; Oceanview Stateroom; Verandah Stateroom and
Concierge Staterooms. There are then categories within these four main categories.

When you first walk into this stateroom you're in the closet hallway and bathroom area. My favorite part about the Disney Cruise Line bathrooms are the split bathrooms with a tub/shower in one of the bathrooms! Most cruise lines gives you a tiny 'closet' shower that are shoved in the corner of the bathroom. Disney Cruise Line bathrooms are so spacious - there is no banging of elbows when I'm trying to wash my hair. The bathtub (which is very rare on a cruise without upgrading to a Suite level room) is nice for younger kids too!

These spacious staterooms sleep either 3 or 4 people (once again, perfect for families as mom and dad can be in the same stateroom - most other cruise lines only sleep 2-3 guests in their rooms!) with a true queen bed (i.e. not two twins pushed together); a couch that turns into a twin bed, and (with some rooms) a ceiling pull down bed.
Our stateroom had the ability to sleep 4 - you can see the drop down tray above the couch bed - and the ladder in the closet (next picture)! There is also a neat surprise for the lucky kid sleeping in this upper-berth bed!
Speaking of closets - located right outside of the bathrooms - they are split into two sides. One side has hanging space (and the ladder for the upper bunk if your room sleeps 4). There was also shelving at the bottom of the closet - perfect for storing everyone's shoes! There was also plenty of hangers for everyone's items.

The other half of the closet was more hanging space and the safe. (Which, as I discovered, if you get yourself locked out of your safe with your belongings inside - it is a very fast fix so don't worry and panic like I did that your valuables will become stuck in the safe for forever!). The shelving above in the closets is where you'll find your life jackets for the mandatory safety muster drill.
The best part of our stateroom was the balcony! My favorite thing to do on cruises is order room service breakfast the night prior to be delivered the next morning. It is the best wake up call - a fresh pot of coffee and breakfast! Plus room service is included on your Disney Cruise Line fare (unlike some other cruise lines)! I'll take my cup of coffee and breakfast out on the patio and watch the ship dock, enjoy the views of whatever port we may be in, or watch the ocean go by if it is a day at sea! For those of you who may be worried about kids and a verandah, don't be! Disney has thought ahead and put two sets of locks on the door - one way up high, out of reach of little arms and hands!
The one thing I forgot to take a picture of in our room is the desk! There is more storage here too! The desk tends to be our "gather-all" space so that is probably why I didn't get a picture. The desk has a mirror (another spot for someone to get ready); lots of outlets for your electronic-charging needs; there is a refrigerator to keep your drinks cold; and is where you'll find your Wave Phones. Wave Phones allow you to call other members from your cabin while you're on board or at Disney's Castaway Cay. There are two to a room - one for the kids and one for the adults!
