Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration

Details have just been announced about this new nighttime show to debut at Universal Orlando Resort this summer! 

This epic new show will light up the night at Universal Studios Florida™ with a colossal celebration of music, water and light that transforms the park and takes you into the movies like never before.  As music from the world’s biggest films fill the air, scores of shining, dancing fountains erupt.  At the all-new Universal Orlando's Cinematic Celebration massive walls of water blaze with incredible movie moments and powerful projections bring the entire waterfront into the movies.  You’ll witness moments from the Harry Potter series conjured to life by way of spells, see and hear roaring dinosaurs from Jurassic World, feel the adrenaline rush of high-speed cars from Fast & Furious, watch the mischievous antics of the Minions from Illumination’s Despicable Me, and so much more. 

And, it’s all seamlessly projected on full panoramic water screens, accented by pyrotechnics and – for the first time ever – more than 120 dancing fountains with projection mapping. The entire waterfront of the Universal Studios lagoon and surrounding buildings will transform into a vivid celebration of epic movie moments and beloved characters.

The show will take place at the lagoon at Universal Studios Florida where they are building a permanent, dedicated viewing area for the show in the Central Park area of Universal Studios where you’ll be able to watch the lagoon come to life.

This brand new hotel, the first in their Value category, has the lowest rates of any Universal hotel. In addition to standard rooms, Surfside Inn and Suites will feature spacious, two-bedroom suites that sleep six, making it the perfect spot for families of any size to experience Universal Orlando™. All suites and rooms are bright and surf-themed. As with all other Universal Orlando hotels, guests will enjoy exclusive benefits like being able to breeze into the parks an hour before other guests* and more. With complimentary transportation, it's a quick hop between the parks and the hotel. Surfside Inn and Suites will open in Summer 2019. A sister hotel, Dockside Inn and Suites, will open in 2020. Both hotels will be part of Universal's Endless Summer Resort, a vibrant and sunny retreat.

A bright and beachy retreat for 4, this inviting 313-square-foot room offers two queen beds with separate bath and vanity areas. Pool View rooms are also available.

2-Bedroom Suites 

Step inside this 440-square-foot suite that accommodates 6. The suite feels like a beach retreat and features 2 bedrooms, one room with 2 queen beds and the other with a single queen bed. There is also a kitchenette area, a cool picnic table for meals and hanging out, and a bathroom with separate bath and vanity areas. Pool View and Water View suites are also available.

Dining

Surfside Inn and Suites favors comfort over fuss. Guests will find this free-spirited attitude everywhere, even in their dining options. There’s a food court with a variety of stations serving three meals a day; a pool bar will offer frozen drinks, cocktails, wine and beer; there’s a coffee bar in the lobby and pizza delivery to rooms.

Amenities

When they aren't at one of Universal's three amazing theme parks, guests will be basking at the resort pools or lounging at the pool bar. They'll also enjoy the food court, fitness center, a Universal Studios Store™ and a coffee bar.

Rates and discounts vary by hotel, length of stay, room type, travel dates, season and are subject to availability. Rates are higher on Friday/Saturday and holidays. Rates are per night plus tax and the number of rooms available at these rates is limited. No group rates or other discounts apply. Blockout dates and other restrictions may apply. Arrive   Each guest will pick up their TapuTapu wearable as they enter the park. It’s theirs for the day.

Look For The Symbol   Look for this tap point throughout the park and use TapuTapu to get a return time, play and more.

Save Your Place In The Virtual Line™ Touch your TapuTapu on the tap point at a ride totem. This saves your place in the Virtual Line™ and gives a return time. The TapuTapu will hold your place in the Virtual Line for one attraction at a time (Based on availability).

Relax And Play Until Their TapuTapu™ Alerts 

Touch to Ride

Go play around the park with you wait. The TapuTapu will tell you when it’s time to head back to the ride.

Touch to Ride  Touch the tap point on the return totem and proceed through the ride entrance.


Return Your TapuTapu™ Return the TapuTapu wearables as you exit Volcano Bay™. If a credit card was linked to the wearable, it will be unlinked at this time.
