World Showcase to Feature New and Returning Musical Acts for Food and Wine Festival

The delicious bites available in the record 35 Marketplaces at the 22nd Epcot International Food & Wine Festival aren’t the only treats you will find at the park this fall! There is also an exciting lineup of live entertainment planned. In addition to the “Eat to the Beat” Concert Series, featuring 11 new artists, you will also want to look for authentic performers throughout World Showcase, with some new acts and returning favorites.

Suroît – New to Epcot, this renowned band hails from Canada’s Magdalen Islands in eastern Quebec. For four decades, their infectious sound has embraced influences from Cajun, Celtic, bluegrass and rock music. Join Suroît on the Mill Stage at the Canada pavilion, August 31 – October 1, 2017.

Margret Almer & The Bavarian Band – World-famous yodeler Margret Almer makes an encore appearance at Epcot this fall. She’ll be performing with The Bavarian Band at the Germany pavilion, beginning August 31 and continuing through the holiday season.

Musique Aramenco – Another returning favorite takes the stage at the Morocco pavilion September 1 - December 30, 2017 Musique Aramenco presents a fusion of traditional and modern Moroccan music.

Bodh’aktan – Back by popular demand, Bodh’aktan mixes Quebecois, folk and polka to make fantastic rock and dance music. After rocking stages across Quebec, the United States and Europe, this incredibly popular, kilted band is returning for an Epcot encore at the Canada pavilion October 2 – 22, 2017.

Raffy – This musical quartet makes their Epcot debut October 23 - November 26, 2017 on the Mill Stage. Raffy’s infectious energy has been embraced across Canada through a live tour, appearances on television and radio airplay of their first hit single.

22nd Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Details

The 22nd Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival is expanding for a longer-than-ever 75-day run (August 31 - November 13, 2017). This year's festival will feature (35) amazing food and wine Marketplaces to celebrate 35 years of Epcot. The event will be part of the park’s 35th anniversary day on Sunday, October 1, 2017 and feature several new experiences. Here are a few favorites:

New Acts for 2017 “Eat to the Beat” Concert Series 

The concert series will amp things up this year. Eleven new-to-the-festival bands, including Kenny G., Squeeze and 10,000 Maniacs, join 21 fan-favorite musical acts for a diverse lineup of pop hit makers to rock America Gardens Theatre stage throughout the festival’s 75-day run.  Other new acts to appear are: The Hooters, Baha Men, Lauren Alaina, Mark Wills, American Authors, Devon Allman, Postmodern Jukebox and Blue October. Concerts take place at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m. daily and are included in Epcot admission .  The lineup is subject to change and included in Epcot admission.

Festival-goers can also enjoy Eat to the Beat Dining Packages at 15 popular Epcot restaurants, guaranteeing a breakfast, lunch or dinner reservation and confirmed seating at a same-day Eat to the Beat concert. 

New Marketplaces are coming to the Festival 

India and Spain marketplaces will return for an encore. Our global marketplaces will extend into Future World to offer brand-new taste sensations.  

ABC’s “The Chew” 

Will return to tape five festival shows that will air October 9-13. With Spaceship Earth as the backdrop, the Emmy Award-winning show hosts will again delight a live audience with on-stage cooking and stories of their Disney adventures plus segments from across Walt Disney World® Resort.   

Popular TV chefs and Culinary Icons 

Those same stars of the kitchen will create new dishes for premium events such as Party for the Senses grand tastings with new concepts and themes. 

“Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!” Hands-on Workshops 

Popular festival event also returns with fresh opportunities for you to interact with visiting chefs, bakers, mixologists and other pros.

22nd annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

There are many special numbers to celebrate as we announce the 22nd annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, opening August 31 - November 13, 2017 – that’s 75 days to sip, savor and enjoy one of America’s top food festivals. 

And to celebrate the park’s opening 35 years ago in 1982, there will be a record number of Marketplaces – 35 in all – stretching around World Showcase and into Future World.

While the Marketplaces play a starring role, it is recommend to plan ahead so you don’t miss favorite celebrity chefs, hands-on culinary workshops and demonstrations at the Festival Center, Party for the Senses, or a favorite artists at one of the nightly Eat to the Beat concerts. 

This year there are more family favorites, too, with the Ratatouille-inspired scavenger hunt back for another year as well as culinary demos and dishes geared toward kids’ palates.

Along with Party for the Senses, the festival includes specialty dining and pairing events at World Showcase restaurants and events at the resort hotels such as Brunch with a Twist at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
