Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort Quick Service Option Open

Spyglass Grill is now open at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! This new walk-up quick service location offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, and featured on the menu are popular American foods infused with classic Caribbean flavors. Here’s a look at some of the delicious new menu items they’ve cooked up!

For breakfast, you will find some unique items like the Cream Cheese and Guava-Stuffed French Toast with fresh strawberry guava syrup! Order the Pineapple-Banana Pancake served with crispy granola and maple syrup. The Breakfast Cuban is a great savory option! This breakfast sandwich comes with ham, pulled pork, egg and Swiss cheese.

On the lunch and dinner menus you will find mouth-watering sandwiches and burgers. The Chorizo Burger comes with provolone, potato straws and crispy pork belly. Also featured on the menu are Chopped Jerk Chicken Salad, Plantain and Yuca Chips, and Caribbean Tacos. The tacos come with a choice of spiced fish, shredded beef, jerk chicken or vegan black beans and can be topped with pickled vegetables and cabbage, cilantro crema, cotija cheese and pico de gallo.

For kids, there’s a variety of options, including tacos with chicken or fish served with Mickey vegetable chips or fresh fruit. Get a Chopped Jerk Chicken Salad or even a Chili-Lime Shrimp Salad. And for dessert, they’ll love the Passion Fruit Tres Leche!

And the menu wouldn’t be complete without some refreshing drinks to go with your delicious burger or tacos. There’s a little bit of everything on the drink menu from wine and beer to specialty cocktails such as the Island Margarita, Caribbean Mai Tai or Piña Colada. Sit back and enjoy the sunset or relax by the pool with a Strawberry Daiquiri, or with a nice glass of Chardonnay. Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction Update

Pirates of the Caribbean reopened at Magic Kingdom® Park yesterday (March 19, 2018), introducing guests to the new version of the attraction’s auction scene that was announced last summer.

Walt Disney embraced and encouraged Disney Parks to “keep moving forward” since the opening of Disneyland Park in 1955, Walt Disney Imagineering has introduced many new characters at Pirates of the Caribbean attraction over the years.

The pirate auctioneer now oversees a sale of the townspeople’s most prized possessions and goods. In this scene, the familiar redhead figure has switched sides to become a pirate named Redd, who’s just pillaged the town’s rum supply and has something to say about it.

The auction scene in the attraction at Disneyland Paris received a similar revision last year. Disneyland® Park will also receive similar updates to its Pirates of the Caribbean attraction later this spring, with work beginning April 23, 2018.

Disney H2O Glow Nights at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon

This summer Walt Disney World will be celebrating their Incredible Summer with new offerings that will bring beloved Disney stories to life at all four Walt Disney World® Resort theme parks this summer.

It has also been announced that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will also join in on the fun with new Disney H2O Glow Nights! 

As part of Incredible Summer, “Toy Story” pals will throw glow parties at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, inspired by the awesome party in the Pixar short, “Partysaurus Rex” (check out a clip of the short below).

On select summer nights starting June 21, 2018, special lighting effects will transform the water park like never before as Buzz, Woody and Jessie throw a Beach Party inspired by their friend, “Partysaurus” Rex. Come join the fun, dance on the beach, play party games, and meet up with Buzz, Woody and Jessie, plus, all attractions are open for guest enjoyment. 

Disney H20 Glow Nights will take place only at Typhoon Lagoon on Thursdays and Saturdays from June 21 - August 11, 2018 from 8:00-11:00 p.m.

This nighttime spectacular will even feature Buzz Lightyear and the house from “Up” flying over Sleeping Beauty Castle!

Food Options at Pixar Pier

Throughout the newly reimagined Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure, there will be new experiences to discover – both big and small. 

In 2019 Guests will be able to experience Jessie's Critter Carousel. Jessie the yodeling cowgirl will invite you for a rootin’ tootin’ spin inspired by Jessie’s wilderness friends in the “Woody’s Roundup” television show from “Toy Story 2.”  This newly reimagined attraction is a classic boardwalk carousel with a whimsical spin.  Saddle up on one of 56 adorable friends, choosing from a turtle, snake, buzzard, armadillo, bunny, deer, raccoon, ram, skunk and two cozy logs inhabited by a family of owls.

And when Pixar Pier opens June 23, 2018 at Disney California Adventure® Park, you will find some new places to eat at!

The Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats, inspired by the lovable and not-at-all-abominable monster from “Monsters, Inc.,” will be serving frozen treats.

In the “Toy Story” neighborhood of Pixar Pier, big appetites and small fries alike will love the Poultry Palace.  This giant fun meal inspired by Pixar’s short, “Toy Story Toon: Small Fry,” even comes with a Fun Meal Zurg!

Señor Buzz Churros, inspired by when Buzz had been switched into Spanish mode to offer, will be serving the quintessential Disneyland Resort treat - churros!

Further down Pixar Pier, Angry Dogs will be serving up some hot items – which is the perfect place for Anger from “Inside Out.” The more he burns with rage, the hotter the dogs get!

An artist rendering of the new Disney Cruise Line ships have been shared!  This first rendering depicts the magnificent exterior of the next three Disney Cruise Line ships, which will elevate family cruise vacations to a whole new level.  Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger released this picture at The Walt Disney Company’s annual shareholders meeting.

In keeping with the distinct Disney Cruise Line style, the new ships will embody the elegance and romance of the golden age of ocean cruising with unique touches of their own. The three new vessels will offer more innovation, new technologies, spectacular entertainment and more Disney stories and characters than ever before. Ingenuity and innovation from stem to stern will amaze and delight Disney Cruise Line Guests of all ages.

The new ships will bring Disney’s iconic stories and franchises to life in thrilling and surprising ways, building on the creativity already introduced across the existing fleet. Just over the past several years we have added innovations such as Marvel and Star Wars themed spaces in the kids’ clubs… dazzling stage shows like “Beauty and the Beast” that are unrivaled in their originality and visual presentation… and an entirely new genre of dining experience combining live entertainment, storytelling and interactive moments at Tiana’s Place and Rapunzel’s Royal Table restaurants.

Each new ship will be approximately 140,000 gross tons – slightly larger than the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy – and each is currently planned to include about 1,250 guest staterooms. Design plans, ship names and itineraries are still in development.

These new vessels will be powered by one of the cleanest-burning fuels available, liquefied natural gas, or LNG.

Sneak Peak at Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Site

Even though the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge lands won’t debut to Disneyland® and Walt Disney World® Resort Guests until 2019, a sneak peak at the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge construction site was just released!

At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, guests will be transported to the planet of Batuu, a remote outpost on the galaxy’s edge that was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes. Here, guests will find themselves in the middle of the action at two attractions that take detail and immersion to the next level: one that lets you take the controls of Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.

Bob Iger shared this video during the 2018 Annual Meeting of Shareholders letting us see how Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is going be one of the most detailed and immersive lands ever created in Disney Parks history. DCA Food & Wine Festival Celebrates California

The popular Disney California Adventure® Food & Wine Festival is now open and will run through April 12, 2018. The DCA Food & Wine Festival has more than a dozen Festival Marketplaces featuring California-inspired tastes and sips plus live music, entertainment and special activities throughout the park. The festival’s signature events are can’t-miss experiences that open Guest's senses to delicious California cuisine in new ways and include new experiences such as Celebrity Chef LIVE! at the Hyperion, as well as returning favorites like Disney Family of Wines Dinner, Sweet Sundays and the Winemaker or Brewmaster Dinners.

Short Escape Adventure in Italy & More

In 2019, Adventures by Disney® will offer a 4-Day, 3-Night Short Escape in Rome, Italy. Highlights of this Short Escape Adventure include a visit to Rome’s most iconic locations, including an after-hours tour of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, as well as a hands-on mosaics class.

Additional 3-Night Short Escapes are also available in Copenhagen and Barcelona. If you were wanting to take an Adventure this year, space is still available for 2018 Short Escapes in New York City and Disneyland & Southern California.

These Short Escapes can be booked as a standalone vacation, or these Short Escape packages can be added to a Disney Cruise Line vacation as a pre-cruise package.
