Dessert Parties at Walt Disney World Resort

Disney’s Hollywood Studios® – Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Dessert Party (Nov. 8, 2019-Jan. 5, 2020)

Everyone's favorite elves are returning once again this holiday season for the popular holiday nighttime spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and they’re hosting a fabulous dessert party to go with it! First, you head over to Echo Lake to enjoy an array of holiday-themed snacks, decadent desserts, beer, wine, and specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. On the menu this year are items including warm cheese fondue with pretzel bread, roasted onion dip with kettle chips, winter-spiced trail mix, Yule log cake, caramel apple verrine, and more. There will also be festive holiday cookies and assorted beverages such as a gingerbread martini and hot chocolate. While Guests are taking part in the festivities, there will even be a special VIP guest available for character greetings.

Before the show, you will be escorted to a reserved viewing area to enjoy Wonderful World of Animation – a beautiful projection show that takes Guests on a journey through more than 90 years of Disney and Pixar animation – followed by “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!,” a Santa-sized spectacular jam-packed with holiday music, fireworks, special effects, and dazzling state-of-the-art projections.

Magic Kingdom® Park – Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace (Select Nights Nov. 8-Dec. 22, 2019)

If you are celebrating the holidays with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you can sweeten the night with this holly-jolly dessert party! During this party, you will get to take in the incredible sights of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show, exclusive to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. On the menu is a bountiful buffet featuring holiday-themed cupcakes and desserts, chocolate-dipped strawberries, ice cream, a selection of cheeses, seasonal fruits, and a variety of beverages like specialty Christmas drinks, sparkling cider, signature lemonades, hot chocolate, coffee, and tea. Magic Kingdom Park – Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace (Select Nights Aug. 16-Nov. 1, 2019)

And don’t forget – the spooky season is in full swing at Walt Disney World Resort and Magic Kingdom Park has been transformed with Halloween decorations and festivities. On select nights, you can descend upon the park for a spirited evening during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Here, Guests can go trick or treating, meet special characters, watch the popular Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and enjoy this year’s brand new nighttime Halloween fireworks: “Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular.” Similar to the regular fireworks dessert party, you can enjoy either reserved seating at Tomorrowland Terrace or a special viewing area at Plaza Garden. This party includes chocolate-dipped strawberries, cupcakes, ice cream, seasonal fruits, cheeses and other ghoulish goodies created daily by a master pastry chef. Sparkling cider, signature lemonades, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will also be served.

Enchanted Rose Now Open at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Step into a tale as old as time when you enter the new Enchanted Rose lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa which is now open! 

Inspired by the magic and romance of Disney’s popular live-action movie, “Beauty and the Beast,” the lounge features four unique gathering spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast with elegance around every corner. Above the main bar, Guests will take in the sights of a gorgeous chandelier inspired by Belle’s flowing golden ball gown, while the library showcases classical baroque designs and French furnishings. A garden room takes its inspiration from the enchanted forest surrounding the castle, and an outdoor patio evokes the romance of Beast’s garden terrace. 

The menu features a variety of delectable, shareable bites like artisanal cheeses, a house-made flatbread, short rib sliders, and even white sturgeon caviar. The lounge’s focal point is its library of wines. Sit back, relax and enjoy charming wines from around the world served by the ounce, glass, or bottle. Champagne, beer, and cider will also be available along with table-side cocktails. 

While browsing the menu, read about a story of love that inspired the Amour cocktail. There’s also a story of envy to accompany the Envie cocktail. Brian Koziol, Master Sommelier, states “Our tales of table-side cocktails are a contrast of each other. The Amour is an elegant vodka cocktail featuring notes of citrus, pear, and flowers with a slightly sweet taste, while characteristics of the apple brandy Envie showcase apples, herbs, and bitters with a potent taste.”

Also on the menu are beverages without alcohol for Guests of all ages. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights have returned to Magic Kingdom® Park, and this year, the brand-new nighttime fireworks show, “Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular,” is wowing guests.

In the new show, Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” comes to tell a “not-so-scary” story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. Jack’s ghost dog, Zero, flies off carrying everyone along on a trick-or-treat adventure, where Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. They encounter dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains along the way.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2019 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

Enchanted Rose – More Details

In case you didn't hear, a new “Beauty and the Beast”-inspired lounge coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  The official name as well as menu details have been released!. 

Located on the second floor of the lobby, this re-imagined lounge will be called Enchanted Rose and will celebrate the magic and romance of Disney’s popular live-action movie. Featuring four unique spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast, you will find charm and elegance around every corner. The lounge includes a chandelier inspired by Belle’s flowing ball gown as well as a formal library that will showcase classical baroque designs and French furnishing. A garden room will take its inspiration from the enchanted forest surrounding the castle, and an outdoor patio will evoke the romance of Beast’s garden terrace. 

Enchanted Rose will feature a delicious menu with a variety of shareable bites. Guests can snack on an artisanal cheese selection with pine nut bread and raisins or enjoy an exquisite dish of white sturgeon caviar served with egg timbale, crème fraiche, and chives. 

In addition, you could try the Mini Smoked Short Rib Sliders with glacier blue cheese and onion marmalade on brioche buns. Or if seafood is more your style, order the Espelette Pepper-Spiced Shrimp or Octopus a la Plancha with black olives, blistered tomatoes, and fingerling potatoes. There’s also the Crab and Gnocchetti Gratin, which comes with jumbo lump crab, gnocchetti sardi, robiola bosina mornay, and citrus breadcrumbs.

Other options include truffle fries as well as a house-made flatbread pizza featuring charred broccolini, seasonal mushrooms, fennel sausage, ricotta salata, and tomato confits.

On the beverage menu is a variety of beverages including cocktails and martinis as well as spirits, beer, cider and even a few non-alcoholic options for guests of all ages. Featured cocktails include beverages such as the Island Rose with grapefruit and rose vodka, lime, orgeat, pineapple, bitters, and rose water. You can also sip on the Lavender Fog (dry gin, crème de violette, English breakfast tea, vanilla, and cream) or the Garden Daisy (tequila, midori, lime, egg white, and cucumber). The lounge will also be pouring an extensive collection of wine and Champagne by the glass. 

Non-alcoholic options include a Garden Cocktail (non-alcoholic spirit, lime juice, agave nectar, and soda)  as well as the B&B (fresh-brewed iced tea, lemon, blueberry, and basil) and the Rosemary Cooler (Odwalla lemonade, vanilla, and rosemary).

Mobile Order Arriving at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World Resort

Great news for all fans heading to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World Resort – the mobile order service is now available at select food and beverage locations within the newest galactic land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®.

Starting this week, you can save time and skip the line to order their food at three new locations in Batuu using their My Disney Experience app.

The newest locations accepting mobile orders in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge include the Milk Stand and Ronto Roasters, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo.

Using the My Disney Experience app, you can easily browse menus to order ahead from wherever you happen to be. Upon arriving at the restaurant or food location, just tap “I’m Here” in the app and head to the designated pick-up counter where Cast Members will deliver their food. It’s a great way to save time to enjoy all there is to see and do during a visit to Batuu.

Ordering amazing meals ahead like Yobshrimp Noodle Salad, Smoked Kaadu Ribs, Ronto Wrap, or Blue Milk (or Green Milk!) is now as easy as just a few taps in the My Disney Experience app.

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Now Open!

Walt Disney World® Resort global dine-around – the 24th Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival – has started and runs through November 23, 2019 with irresistible bites, sips and non-stop family fun. There’s 87 delicious days of Festival-exclusive edibles and entertainment, such as a Candy Sushi-making experience, Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt, the rockin’ Eat to the Beat Concert Series and Disney du Jour Dance Party.

The festival is set to thrill foodies with more than 30 global marketplaces, filled with eats like the warm raclette Swiss cheese debuting at The Alps Global Marketplace, a brand-new location for this year’s event. Guests can follow their nose to the jerk-spiced chicken grilled on site for all to savor at the Islands of the Caribbean Global Marketplace. And get ready for a taste of autumn at the Appleseed Orchard Global Marketplace near Le Cellier Steakhouse, where a chill vibe plus charcuterie and cheese nibbles pair well with fresh apple-enhanced libations plus fanciful flights with spice and kick. 

Toast to the Festival at Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar, where mimosas will be served individually or as a flight for those who can’t choose between vibrant fruity flavors like key lime and blood orange.  

Bust some moves this opening weekend when Radio Disney ‘Next Big Thing’ artist alum Meg Donnelly (“With U,” Disney Channel’s “Zombies”) ratchets up the fun factor at the Disney du Jour Dance Party, Aug. 30 and 31 in Future World. The Dance Party runs daily, with Disney Characters and Radio Disney artists appearing each Friday and Saturday. More new artists will be announced this week, adding to the concert series’ smorgasbord of family fun!  

Make a date to groove with the Plain White T’s (“Hey There Delilah”) at the debut of this year’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series, Aug. 29-31. Or, they can celebrate with new Festival act Sawyer Brown (“Thank God for You”) who’ll take the stage and round out Labor Day weekend of top tunes Sept. 1 and 2. The outdoor concerts are included with theme park admission and located at America Gardens Theatre, running Sundays to Thursdays at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays 6:30, 7:45 and 9 p.m. from Aug. 29 – Nov. 19.  There’s still time to book an Eat to the Beat Dining Package at select Epcot table-service restaurants to secure guaranteed concert seating!

With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge officially opening today at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, the Walt Disney World® Resort hotels are joining in on the galactic celebrations with their own special eats and treats! Each of these offerings are only available for a limited time, so be sure to get them before they disappear! 

Chewbacca Chocolate-Hazelnut Cupcake – A chocolate cupcake filled with chocolate-hazelnut spread and topped with chocolate-hazelnut buttercream and a chocolate candy sash.  Available now through Sept. 21 at Everything POP Shopping and Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

Wookiee Cake – A chocolate cake filled with caramel custard and topped with chocolate buttercream fur and a chocolate sash. Available Aug. 29-31 at Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Millennium Falcon Chocolate Pop – A milk chocolate lollipop shaped like the Millennium Falcon. Available Aug. 29-Sept. 7 at the Ganachery at Disney Springs®.
