“Tiana’s Riverboat Party Ice Cream Social & Parade Viewing” will make its debut launch on the Liberty Belle Riverboat at Magic Kingdom® Park on November 29, 2016.  The fun starts at the boat dock, where you'll enjoy hand-dipped ice cream and soft drinks while visiting with Princess Tiana and Naveen.

Board the riverboat to enjoy an incredible birds-eye-view parade viewing for the park’s “Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade” and a cruise around Tom Sawyer’s Island. Princess Tiana and Naveen will join the group on the Liberty Belle Riverboat after the parade concludes for photos. Please note during the holiday period December 23-31, 2016, Guests will view the “Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade” instead.

A re-imagined take on the turn-of-the-century ice cream parlor is set to open this spring at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas at Walt Disney World® Resort.  Ample Hills Creamery, a Brooklyn-based company known for their creative approach to all things ice cream, will open its first location outside of New York City.



The new creamery will be located on Disney’s BoardWalk, overlooking Crescent Lake—a short walk from Epcot® and a relaxing boat ride from Disney’s Hollywood Studios®. You will be able to peek into the promenade-facing kitchen windows, where ice cream and mix-ins will be handcrafted the old-fashioned way.

Inside, you can sample as many flavors as they’d like, including signature creations like Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, Coffee Toffee Coffee, Malty Salty Pretzel Punch, Cotton Candy, and more. They’re even working on a special one-of-a-kind flavor developed exclusively for Walt Disney World Resort.

Snack Review: Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bar

The Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bar in Walt Disney World is something that has reached icon status. And rightfully so.

This ice cream treat is vanilla ice cream with chocolatey coating - in the shape of a Mickey Mouse head!  The ice cream bar can be found at Ice Cream and Frozen Treats cart at various and plentiful locations through out the World.  I happened to get mine at a cart located in Fantasyland outside of Pinnochio Village Haus.  This sweet treat cost me $4.25.

The first bite of the Mickey Premium Bar is always the hardest - what Mickey's ear do I want to eat first?  I picked one and was rewarded with the pleasant sound of the chocolate shell breaking and then cold vanilla ice cream.  The chocolate shell is quite thick compared to most dipped ice cream bars.  The chocolate shell and vanilla ice cream is a quite a pleasant combination on a hot day in the parks.  I shared the Premium Bar with a friend and we both agreed that they are tasty and is a must do on every trip.
