Epcot Flower and Garden: New Scavenger Hunt

The popular Egg-stravaganza scavenger hunt is coming back to the Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival. Today we're sharing first details on this springtime egg-sperience as well as an ALL-NEW Spike the Honey Bee scavenger hunt.

From March 16-April 1, 2018 those visiting the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival can participate in our Egg-stravaganza scavenger hunt – hunting high and low in World Showcase for “eggs” that portray favorite Disney characters.
As you find the hidden Disney Character-themed “eggs” in the park, record your discoveries by placing a corresponding sticker on a specially themed Egg-stravaganza map. Maps and stickers can be purchased for $5.99, plus tax at the following parks and locations:
  • Disney Trader
  • Pin Central
  • World Traveler
When you find all of the “eggs” and complete the scavenger hunt map, return it to Disney Traders for a sp-egg-tacular surprise.
Also, along with our egg-cellent adventure, we’re featuring a new springtime scavenger hunt called Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration. In this hunt, Disney’s favorite honey bee, Spike, has been pollinating his way around the festival, giving gardeners of any age the chance to follow his pollination trail around World Showcase at Epcot.
It’s easy to start this new scavenger hunt. Pick up a garden map and stickers at Port of Entry. Then, it’s time to look for Spike!
As you explore the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, be on the lookout for Spike as he pollinates Epcot’s gardens. In each garden, you have to search for the plant Spike has pollinated, identifiable by Spike himself and a Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration plant stake. Once you find him, add the corresponding sticker to your map.
After your journey is complete, return your map for a springtime surprise.
Maps and stickers for Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration can be purchased for $5.99, plus tax at Port of Entry.

The Disney EGG-stravaganza Returns for 2017

Spring is in full swing, which means the return of the beloved Egg-stravaganza to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland® Resort.  This is a fun activity that all family members can participate in!  At Disneyland Resort, this fun, egg-themed scavenger hunt will take place from April 1 - 16, 2017, at Disneyland ParkDisney California Adventure® Park, and Downtown Disney District®.

If you are visiting Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, the Egg-stravaganza is currently taking place at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival through May 29, 2017.
To participate, pick up a map and stickers for $5.99 (plus tax) at select merchandise locations. Search for special hidden “eggs” themed to Disney and Pixar characters. Record your discoveries by placing the corresponding sticker on the themed Egg-stravaganza map to represent that location.
Look for signs like this outside of stores indicating where the maps are being sold.
Whether you hunt for eggs or not, return your map to a redemption location for a special surprise. Redemption locations include the following merchandise shops: Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure Park; Disney Showcase in Disneyland Park; World of Disney Store in the Downtown Disney District.
I have done this Egg Hunt at Walt Disney World in past years and let me tell you, it is so much fun! And a little hard! I'm afraid to admit that we had to ask a Cast Member or two to point us in the right direction.  Even with help it was so much fun for the whole family!  The kids really enjoyed hunting around Epcot looking for the eggs. This post won't give any spoilers as to current egg locations but will help you know what some of the eggs look like along with how big they are and where they might be hiding. Here are pictures eggs' locations from last year (2016)!

I spy a Goofy egg outside of China.

Donald is close enough to the water for a swim.
Do you see Pluto?

Figment is high in the sky in France.

To find Mickey we needed some help. Disney rule of thumb: don't forget to look up!
