Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights have returned to Magic Kingdom® Park, and this year, the brand-new nighttime fireworks show, “Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular,” is wowing guests.

In the new show, Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” comes to tell a “not-so-scary” story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. Jack’s ghost dog, Zero, flies off carrying everyone along on a trick-or-treat adventure, where Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. They encounter dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains along the way.

With just days to go until the big reveal, Disney Parks Live Entertainment has been putting the finishing touches on the spectacular – and cameras were on-hand to grab a first look.

Exciting Additions Coming to ‘Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade’ at Magic Kingdom Park

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is already a must-do experience every fall at Magic Kingdom® Park, and it’s even more so this year with the debut of the incredible new “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular,” a new interactive treat trail at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and attractions updated with new Halloween twists. There will be even more to look forward to with some great additions to “Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade!”

Presented twice nightly during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (Pro tip: catch the second run of the night for the best viewing options due to lower crowds), the parade brings forth a cavalcade of fiendishly fun floats as each land of the Magic Kingdom comes together to celebrate Halloween.

The parade opens with a flurry of favorite Disney friends, including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in all-new Halloween costumes, as they trick-or-treat down Main Street, U.S.A. Representing Liberty Square, the Haunted Mansion unit features Hitchhiking Ghosts and a new addition, the spectral Bride, who glides among the waltzing spirits.

A new Tomorrowland unit brings The Incredibles and designer extraordinaire Edna Mode to “Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade,” followed by Buzz Lightyear and Alien explorers discovering crystalline treasures on the surface of a planetary play set float.

Of course, no Halloween parade would be complete without candy. Wreck-It Ralph, Vanellope von Schweetz and the girls from Sugar Rush make sure there’s plenty of sweet stuff to go around! Pirates sail in from Adventureland, Clarabelle Cow hosts a square dance during a Frontierland hoedown, and a wicked assortment of Disney Villains reigns over a Fantasyland-inspired grand finale.

New Highlights at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park

Fall will be here before you know it, and that means it’s almost time for one of Walt Disney World's favorite events of the year - Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! And this year will be particularly exciting with several returning favorites and some all-new experiences, highlighted by the debut of the incredible new “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular.”

Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” serves as the host of this all-new nighttime extravaganza, with state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and dazzling fireworks filling the sky above Magic Kingdom® Park. Jack has come to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. The fireworks are just part of the Halloween fun. Several attractions across the park receive special enhancements just for the Halloween party! New this year, when you follow the treat trail into the Monster World at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, you’ll interact in all-new ways with the comic cast of monsters, as you learn about the curious Human World holiday we call Halloween.

Embarking upon the high seas with the Pirates of the Caribbean, you will discover a crew of live pirates on your journey, engaged in a whole new adventure in search of treasure. Space Mountain goes completely dark again this year, hurtling you through the blackness of deep space to the riffs and chords of a new hard-rockin’ soundtrack, and at the Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland, each spin of the teacups takes guests into madder and madder territory, as special lighting and music give the attraction experience an extra energy after dark.

There’s also the amazing “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular,” the ride of the Headless Horseman, “Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade,” Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball and “Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam,” where this year Nancy Clancy from the hit Disney Junior series “Fancy Nancy” joins other Disney Junior pals like Vampirina and Doc McStuffins.

New at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party: Cruella’s Halloween Hide-a-Way!

A Disney Villain you love to hate will be hosting her own festive and fabulous event during this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom® Park!

Starting today, you can book the all-new Cruella’s Halloween Hide-a-Way at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant, the perfect place to mix and mingle with Cruella de Vil and be part of her circle of puppies, aka friends! Enjoy a fun, festive atmosphere, with themed background music and décor, and a great view of Town Square. 

Beginning at 9:30 p.m., this new and special experience will allow you to pop in and out at  leisure and indulge in savory hors d’oeuvres with a taste from the Witches Cauldron—a kettle of gooey and creamy spinach dip with ciabatta crostini, assorted Halloween flatbreads and more! In addition, there will be sweet treats such as chocolate-dipped strawberries, cheesecake and mini cannoli, Kanine Krunchy cake and Mini De Vil brownies and a variety of beverages including beer and wine selections and more! 

But the party doesn’t stop there! You will also have access to a special reserved viewing area for the truly enchanting “Mickey’s Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade at 11:15 p.m., featuring some of Cruella’s villainous pals. 

After the parade, the fun continues at Tony’s where you can hang out until 12:30 a.m.

Cruella’s Halloween Hide-a-Way is available for $99 per person (plus tax) every Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party event night at Magic Kingdom Park. New Fireworks Show for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

For the first time in 14 years, there will be a brand-new, Halloween fireworks spectacular to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom® Park!

The spooky fun event, that happens on select nights from August 16 - November 1,  2019, will feature returning favorites along with all-new experiences, including the debut of an incredible new fireworks spectacular.  This new show will feature state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and dazzling fireworks that come together to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. The show will take guests along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy – find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. Everything You Need to Know About Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Are you planning a visit to Walt Disney World® Resort this fall? Then Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom® Park is an absolute must-do event! This in-park party celebrates Halloween with spooky decor, Disney characters in Halloween costumes, complimentary trick-or-treating, and entertainment you have to see to believe!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which requires a special ticket to attend, will be held on the following nights: August 31; September 3, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30; and October 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30 and 31. Party fun takes place from 7 p.m.-midnight, although party ticket holders may enter the park as early as 4 p.m. to enjoy regular park offerings.

Guests of all ages are welcome to dress in costume on party nights (be sure to check out the park guidelines). As you arrive, grab a treat bag for trick-or-treating and party event map, which displays all the locations of trick-or-treat stations, special entertainment and more. Sometime during the night, you can head to the Main Street Fire Station and pick up an event-exclusive Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom spell card. This year’s design features Orange Bird.

You won't want to miss the “Boo To You” parade, which steps off twice on party nights. The Headless Horseman leads off the hair-raising procession, which includes classic Disney characters (in not-so-scary Halloween costumes), an entire portion devoted to the Haunted Mansion, a celebration of treats and more.

“The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show delights Guests by bringing the Sanderson Sisters back to run “amuck” for the evening, calling on Disney villains to help them conjure the ultimate Hocus Pocus Party Potion. 

Disney Villains light up the night during “Happy HalloWishes Fireworks.” This spectacular features a villainous soundtrack with songs like “Grim Grinning Ghosts,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” “Never Smile at a Crocodile” and more.

Guests with a sweet tooth can take treats to the next level by perusing the tasty selection of limited-time goodies created specifically for the event.

"Return to Sleepy Hollow" at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

One of the most popular moments of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom® Park is the appearance of the Headless Horseman before “Mickey’s Boo To You” parade.

If you are a brave soul who can’t get enough of the Horseman, the “Return to Sleepy Hollow” offering at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground may be your perfect idea of fall fun!

The “Return to Sleepy Hollow” offering includes a group viewing of the 1949 Disney animated classic film “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” inside the resort’s historic Tri-Circle-D Ranch stables. While the stables are usually open to guests year-round, on nights like these they should watch for galloping ghosts and be ready for an up close and personal encounter with the Headless Horseman.

The Return to Sleepy Hollow offering will take place at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground: Sept. 29-Oct. 2, Oct. 5-9, 12-16, 19-23 and 26-31, at 8 and 10 p.m.

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Returns Aug. 31 

This year’s festival will offer 75 days of culinary fun that will include: 35 global marketplaces (including five new ones!), a selection of 39 new marketplace dishes, 65 new cocktail selections, 225 Eat to the Beat concerts and much more. ABC’s “The Chew,” will also return to broadcast five episodes from the festival this year.  

The Great Irish Hooley Returns Sept. 1-4 

The 6th Great Irish Hooley music festival will return to Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant in Disney Springs® in just a few weeks. Celebrating Irish song, dance, food and drink, the Great Irish Hooley kicks off performances beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, and continues each day and night through late Monday and into the wee hours. This year’s Hooley entertainment headliners include: Elevation, Lisa Canny Band, Gary O’Meara Band, The Raglan Roots Coalition, Jake Richardson, Over the Bar, Rollickin’ Rua and Aaron O’Sullivan. The Raglan Road Irish Dancers, as well as champion Irish dancer Ciaran Keating, will also share their talents on stage.

Disney Night of Joy Returns Sept. 8-9 

The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will again host Disney Night of Joy, two evenings filled with joyous gospel, hip-hop, pop, rock, praise and adult contemporary music. This year’s lineup includes performances by artists like TobyMac, MercyMe, Amy Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman and many others.
