A new change this year is what type of dining plan the resort levels get. If you're staying at a Deluxe Resort or a Deluxe Villa (certain exclusions apply), you'll get the Disney Dining Plan. If you're staying at a Moderate or a Value Resort, you get the Quick Service Dining Plan. You can upgrade any of these dining plans to the one your want, you just have to pay the difference.

Walt Disney World Tickets - The 2017 Price Increase and Changes

On Feb. 12, 2017, Walt Disney World® Resort implemented an adjustment to ticket offerings.  This year, guests will see a $20 savings on a 3-Day or longer Magic your Way® Ticket when purchased via a Disney Vacation Planner as compared to the price for the same ticket at the theme park ticket windows, Guest Relations and Sports Welcome Center!  Also starting February 12th there was a ticket increase. Overall ticket prices did increase on February 12, 2017. (NOTE: As of February 13th, Walt Disney world vacation packages have not seen this reflected increase. Email me, lauren@magicaltravel.com, to book your 2017 Walt Disney World vacation NOW to save before it goes into effect!).

Other changes to ticket offerings will include the following:

• All newly-purchased tickets will expire on a specified date.  Never-used expired tickets may be exchanged by consumers for credit toward new ticket purchase of equal or greater value.  Previously-purchased tickets without expiration dates will remain valid until used.
• The Water Park Fun & More has been discontinued as a standalone option. The Water Park Fun & More  will be bundled with the Park Hopper option and will now be known as the Park Hopper Plus Options (Park Hopper Option is still available). 

A day at a Disney park is unlike any other in the world.  This year guests will experience new things including:

• Pandora – NEW! The World of AVATAR, opening May 27, 2017, marks the largest expansion in the history of Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park.
• Star Wars experiences continue this year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®.
• Immersive experiences debuted during the past year at Epcot® – Soarin’ Around the World and Frozen Ever After.
• Development continues on new themed lands based on Star Wars and “Toy Story.”
