Reservations Now Open for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Experiences at Disney's Hollywood Studios

If you are planning to visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios beginning August 29, 2019, you can now make reservations for several galactic experiences.

Whether it's customizing your own legendary lightsaber, building a droid at Black Spire Outpost's industrial depot or hanging out at Oga's Cantina, there's much to explore as Guests become part of the Star Wars story.

Craft a Lightsaber at Savi's Workshop - Constructing a lightsaber is a rite of passage in the life of a Jedi, as this elegant weapon from a more civilized age is attuned to its wielder through the Force. Inside Savi's Workshop, you will feel the presence of the Force as you craft your own lightsabers, customizing them with various hilts, accessories and the all-important kyber crystals.

For the Savi's Workshop experience, there will be limited walk-up availability but reservations are highly recommended. A credit card deposit of $199 is required for each reservation. Cancellations can be made up to the day before without penalty; any no-shows will be charged the full price of the experience. Guests can also bring one guest to observe the experience.

Build a Droid Inside the Droid Depot - Droids can be some of the most loyal companions in the entire Star Wars galaxy, and now you can have the chance to build and customize your own astromech friends at the Droid Depot. Patrons pick pieces and parts off a conveyor belt to construct one of two core models (R-series or BB-series), which can then interact with elements throughout Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

At Droid Depot, reservations are highly recommended and there will be limited walk-up availability. Cancellations can be made up to the day before without penalty; any no-shows will be charged the full price of the experience. Guests may also bring one person along for the build experience.

Hang Out at Oga's Cantina - Oga's Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is the notorious watering hole where smugglers, bounty hunters, and weary travelers of all ages can come partake in some out-of-this-world refreshments. To make trip planning easier, Oga's Cantina will follow the 180-day reservation process currently offered for restaurants and experiences requiring reservations. While there will be limited walk-up availability, reservations are highly recommended. And like our other experiences, cancellations can be made up to the day before without penalty; however, any no-shows will be charged.

Reservations for the experiences above can now be made through My Disney Experience app or on Disneyworld.com. Reservations will be available for dates up to 180 days out.

He’s serving up a variety of dishes prepared with ingredients from across the galaxy. Guests can sit down in the spacious hangar (or grab a table in the rustic outdoor seating area) and chow down on eats like the Felucian Garden Spread (plant-based “kefta” with herb hummus, tomato-cucumber relish, and pita) or the Yobshrimp Noodle Salad with chilled shrimp, marinated noodles, and seasonal vegetables. Starships Have Landed at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland® Park will transport you to a galaxy far, far away. While on the planet Batuu, you may spot some iconic starships and vehicles up-close. Here’s what you may encounter:
A-wing Starfighter
With its sleek arrowhead shape, streamlined cockpit and massive twin engines, the A-wing suggests raw speed. Used first by the Rebel Alliance and now the Resistance, it is well suited for quick strikes. You can find the A-Wing Starfighter at the Resistance encampment.
First Order TIE echelon
A new assault vehicle in the TIE (twin ion engine) series, this echelon shuttle is used by the First Order mainly for small troop and cargo transport. You can see this starship at the First Order Cargo area.
Landspeeders
There are two models of speeders in for repairs in the garage at Black Spire Station: a X-34 model like the one Luke Skywalker used on Tatooine, and a Jakku speeder, built from scavenged parts.
Millennium Falcon
Once flown by iconic smuggler Han Solo and his Wookiee first mate, Chewbacca, and more recently by Rey, the Millennium Falcon is sometimes lovingly referred to as “the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.” The YT-1300 Corellian freighter is located at the Spaceport and is currently being loaned to Hondo Ohnaka, the former pirate who owns and operates Ohnaka Transport Solutions.
Sienar-Chall Utilipede Transport
Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs uses this modified shuttle as a mobile kitchen and restaurant, jumping from one planet to the next as a “traveling diner for diners traveling.” It is currently atop Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Black Spire Outpost.
X-wing Starfighter
A versatile ship balancing speed and firepower, the X-wing is a nimble starfighter used in dogfights first by the Rebel Alliance and now the Resistance. Its name comes from the “X” its four wings create when they’re locked in attack position. Take a closer look at the X-wing Starfighter at the Resistance encampment.
Whether you are part of the Resistance or supporting the First Order, activate your hyper drive and head on over to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

Foodie Guide to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on the horizon, Disney's creative teams have been hard at work crafting the innovative food and beverage offerings that guests will experience when they visit the Black Spire Outpost. They have shared these incredible menus in this tasty Foodie Guide for the highly-anticipated lands coming to Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort this year.

Located on the never-before-seen planet of Batuu, the Black Spire Outpost (which is the name of the village in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge) serves as a remote trading port for smugglers, traders, and adventurers traveling the Outer Rim and Wild Space. A once busy crossroads on the galaxy’s edge now surpassed by the rise of hyperspace travel, the infamous village is a thriving port for those traveling between the frontier and uncharted space. The outpost also serves as a home to those who prefer to stay out of the mainstream, as well as a safe haven for those avoiding the reach of the First Order.

In the Star Wars galaxy, due to the remote nature of the planet, Batuu has a deep history of “farm to table” style whole foods with cooking traditions that have been passed down generation to generation, influencing the dishes found in the outpost. Each dish tells a story of the local culture, drawing inspiration from unique spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.

Weary travelers can take refuge in Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo or even grab a specialty cocktail in the outpost’s favorite watering hole, Oga’s Cantina. They can also grab a quick bite (or some Blue Milk!) at one of the stands located in the Black Spire Outpost.

Docking Bay 7 Food and CargoA multi-purpose transport shuttle docked on top of a large hangar will beckon guests into Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, a designated location for traveling food shuttles. Docked in the hangar is Tugg’s Grub, a “traveling diner for diners traveling” run by Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs. In high-demand for his cooking skills, he moves from site to site in a modified Sienar-Chall Utilipede Transport that can be transformed into a mobile kitchen and restaurant. His travels across the galaxy allow him to fill his pantry with exotic ingredients which he uses to make new and unusual dishes inspired by his time on Takodana.

Very little is known about Oga herself. She’s not usually at the Cantina, preferring to collect payments remotely, and most of the locals have never laid eyes on her before. Her patrons come from across the galaxy to sample the famous concoctions offered here. These beverages are created with unique ingredients using “otherworldly” methods. In addition, Oga regularly procures unique shipments of beers, cider, and wines. While partaking in these thirst-quenching concoctions, guests can enjoy the musical stylings of DJ R-3X (also known as REX), the former Starspeeder 3000 pilot droid we first met in Star Tours. He’s reinvented himself as the cantina’s resident DJ and is quirky and talkative as ever, just trying to do his best on the job.
