Disney's Pop Century Resort Remodel

Disney's Pop Century is my favorite resort from the Value Resort Category at Walt Disney World.  If you're unfamiliar with Disney's Resort categories, the Value Resorts offer the magic and service of Disney Resorts at a great value and include all the benefits of staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. These family-friendly Resorts offer fun and whimsical architecture and decor, cool pools and informal food court dining. 

One of the reasons's Disney's Pop Century Resort is my favorite Value Resort is because of its amazing theming. At this resort, you're able to transport your family back in time to visit decades of the 20th Century! From jukeboxes, bowling pins and 8-track tapes, to laptops and cell phones, the memorabilia, crazes, and catch phrases that defined the 20th century surround you at this 2,880-room Value Resort Hotel. Each building is a larger-than-life "time capsule" of pop culture which will take you on a trip down memory lane.

Now Pop Century is giving me another reason to keep it at the top of my favorites list - the rooms are being remodeled! The rooms have gone for a more modern and streamlined look. There is also fun artwork on the walls featuring the main mouse himself!

Table with chairs converts into a bed for sleeping!

The rooms now have one queen sized bed and one full sized hidden murphy bed. The bed, when up, serves as a table. This will make the rooms feel much larger, clearing the floor space quite a bit. Speaking of floor, you will notice that the carpet has been torn out and replaced with hardwood giving the rooms a much cleaner feel to it.

Lots of outlets on the dresser.

The dresser has a more streamlined look as well. With a wall mounted television giving families plenty of counter space to store this items. The dresser also has outlets on top making it easy for families to charge all their electronics as well.

Mini-fridge and coffee maker.

There is even more storage for families with this piece of furniture that holds the mini-refrigerator. Even the ini fridge got a makeover with a clear door! Now it will be easy to see how many bottles of water you have chilled! There are now coffee makers in the rooms as well!

A new dedicated closet space and cubbies!

The bathrooms got a makeover as well. There is now a dedicated closet space with a space for shoes - keeping the floors clear! There are now lots of cubbies for storage as well. This is love as I feel like there is never enough places to keep all of our things except for on the countertop. These cubbies and cabinets solves that problem!

Clean streamlined look.

Another reason I love this new bathroom - no more shower curtains in the bathrooms! The bathrooms at Pop Century will either have a tub or a walk-in-shower. Be sure to include your preference in your room requests! There is now a pocket door separating these two bathroom areas allowing for more space!
