New Celebration Cakes at Walt Disney World

There's a magical new way to celebrate at Walt Disney World® Resort! Beginning May 17, 2017, you can order a brand-new Mickey Mouse celebration cake at any Walt Disney World Resort owned-and-operated table-service restaurant.

Available in decadent chocolate or sweet white chocolate, the Mickey-shaped cakes are sure to be the icing on the cake of your celebration! The cakes come from Amorette's at Disney Springs so you know they are going to be delicious! A special message of “Happy Birthday” or “Congratulations” is available on the chocolate ears—or leave them blank. Each cake serves 4-6 guests, and costs $35 plus tax and gratuity (where applicable). Advance payment is not required with confirmed restaurant reservations.

Reservations for the new Mickey Mouse celebration cakes begin May 17, 2017. Celebration cakes will be able to be added to a new or existing dining reservation by calling 407-WDW-DINE or by inquiring in person at a Walt Disney World Resort concierge desk or restaurant podium. Day-of quantities are limited, so make arrangements prior to dining.

Make Your Own Mickey Dome Cake!

When you enter Amorette's Patisserie at Disney Springs™, there are a gallery of goodies, including cookies, macarons, pastries and signature cakes. And I'm sure you've seen the cute little cakes that resemble a famous mouse? Well now you have the chance to make your very own Mickey Mouse Dome cake!

Learn how to create the Micke Mouse dome cake during a new Cake Decorating Experience at Amorette’s Patisserie beginning March 31, 2017. Reservations are now open, and the experience, which must be booked in advance, will be from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. every Friday through May 5, 2017.

During the experience, enjoy complimentary specialty coffee, mimosas and bellinis while working side by side with the pros at Amorette’s Patisserie to decorate a Mickey Dome Cake. Discover how the team at Amorette's seamlessly blends artistry and storytelling in cake design, starting with the elegant glaçage (that’s French for “mirror glaze”) and ending with the finishing touches such as chocolate sculpted ears, tail, belt and buttons – all edible, of course.

Guests can even take their cake home to impress their family and friends – it not only looks beautiful, but tastes delicious. Space is limited for these Cake Decorating Experiences.

The Cake Decorating Experience at Amorette’s Patisserie is another exciting offering from the Enchanting Extras Collection, which allows you to enhance your vacation. Cost is $129 plus tax for ages 10 and up, for one to two Guests working on a single cake. A second cake can be purchased for an additional $40. Reservations are available now.

Amorette’s Patisserie Opens May 15 at Disney Springs

With sweets almost too pretty to eat, Amorette’s Patisserie showcases the beautiful work of Walt Disney World® Resort pastry chefs in a new shop coming to Disney Springs™.

Classic and contemporary cakes and pastries are the stars in this high-end pastry shop where you can watch pastry chefs decorate signature cakes in the on-stage finishing kitchen. Even the beautiful boutique-style packaging, inspired by old-fashioned hatboxes, lends to the sophisticated feel of the location.

From a classic macaron or crisp, light pavlova to the ultimate chocolate-chocolate chunk cookie, Amorette’s is a dessert lover’s dream come true.

There’s something for everyone: eclairs, New York-style cheesecake, opera cake and sacher torte. Special sweets have names like “Reflection in Memphis” (peanut blondie with bacon, banana and chocolate) and Strawberry Fields of OC (strawberry mousse with basil sugar and lemon curd). Amorette’s Signature Cake is beautifully decorated, with 10 layers of delectable flavors and textures. These are edibles that only a talented pastry artist could create. And, yes, there’s gluten friendly cakes on the menu.

Amorette’s features a few delectable beverage options as well. You can sip a Champagne or sparkling wine with your pastry, or go straight for the indulgent Amorette’s Hot Chocolate Ganache, a cupful of sippable chocolate with Chantilly and shaved dark chocolate on top. They can also opt for a glass of cold milk, coffee or tea.
