Storybook Dining at Artist Point

Reservations are now open for Storybook Dining at Artist Point, located at Disney's Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World Resort. This unique Character Dining experience is inspired by the Disney film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  Storybook Dining with Snow White at Artist Point offers a delicious, fanciful dinner with visits from Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy and even The Queen!

Quench your thirst with creative and fun cocktails (and mocktails) and a variety of beers in bottles and on draft. A wine list with a focus on the most highly rated wines from Oregon and Washington State rounds out the beverage menu.

The storybook-themed dining experience begins with shared appetizers including Hunter’s Pie, Winter Squash Bisque and Wicked Shrimp Cocktail.

Then, choose an entrée from a prix fixe menu. Feast on the Royal Prime Rib Roast, Brother’s Grimm Roasted Chicken, Magic Mirror Slow Braised Veal Shank, Seafood Stew and Bashful’s Butter Poached Snapper. Or enjoy the vegetarian option – A Stroll Through Nature – featuring butternut squash, arugula and gnocchi.

Children can choose from a selection of kid-friendly items, including Royal Prime Rib Roast, Grilled Chicken, Princess Pasta and Vegetarian Steam Bun.

And for a sweet finale, experience a “Poison” Apple; Fairy Tale Gooseberry Pie; a sponge cake with chocolate gems and buttercream icing called Miner’s Treasures; and The Hunter’s Gift to the Queen, which features cracked maple popcorn with a ganache heart. Remember, the desserts are shared, so you don’t have to choose – you get one of each! 

Pricing is $55 for adults and $33 for children ages 3-9 (tax and gratuity not included). Each Guest will receive one of each appetizer, their choice of entrée, and one of each dessert as well as their choice of non-alcoholic fountain beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic specialty beverages are not included). All menu items are subject to change.

Storybook Dining at Artist Point Debuts This Winter at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Magic mirror on the wall, what is the fairest character dining of all?

This winter, it will most certainly be the all-new character dining experience opening at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge!

Storybook Dining at Artist Point will invite guests to venture into an Enchanted Forest-like setting inspired by Walt Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” There, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal of fantastic fare with visits from Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy. Delightful music and activities will help bring the classic fairytale to life, and Guest will even have an opportunity for an encounter with The Queen.

This immersive character dinner takes place amidst the rustic elegance and exceptional dining that Artist Point is known for. Enjoy a uniquely themed prix fixe menu, including shared starters, a choice of individual plated entrees and ‘sweet spells’ to finish the meal.

There will be more information to share soon, including menu offerings, an opening date and when reservations can be booked, as well as where Guests might be able to find select fan-favorite Artist Point menu items in the future.

Main Street Electrical Parade Leaving Magic Kingdom

As originally reported on Disney Parks Blog, it is a sad night to report that The Main Street Electrical Parade, Magic Kingdom Park’s long-running nighttime parade last run will be October 9.  After that the parade will head to Disneyland Resort for a limited-time showing.


Main Street Electrical Parade is a nighttime procession filled with glowing, spinning floats that honor favorite Disney characters.  Some of the Animated Disney films that are represented include “Alice In Wonderland,” “Cinderella,” "Pete's Dragon," "Peter Pan," "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,"  and more.  Tinker Bell lights the way with a wave of her wand and orchestrates half a million shimmering lights synchronized to a memorable soundtrack.

If you’re planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort to the see the parade one last time at Magic Kingdom Park before it ends its run, remember that Main Street Electrical Parade is not offered on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is being released from the Vault!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is the movie that started it all.  

Walt's first full-length feature animated film.  

The first full length animated film ever. 

No matter what you refer to it as,  Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs  hold a special place in the hearts of many Disney fans.  And it is being released from the Disney Vault January 19, 2016.  This will be the first time Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is being released on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere.  There you can also preorder your digital copy for $19.99.  The BlueRay version will land on store's shelves February 2nd.
