BB-8, the loyal droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is now greeting Guests at Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney's Hollywood Studios®.

BB-8 appears in addition to Kylo Ren and Chewbacca, two characters from the Star Wars galaxy who guests regularly encounter at Star Wars Launch Bay. In addition to character greetings, the location also offers guests the chance to explore galleries full of treasured memorabilia and authentic replicas of large-scale Star Wars artifacts, including some from the latest film in the franchise, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Meet BB8 at Disney's Hollywood Studios

When you visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios® at Walt Disney World® Resort this spring, there will be even more Star Wars fun to look forward to as BB-8, the loyal droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, begins character greetings at the park’s Star Wars Launch Bay. 

BB-8 will appear in addition to Kylo Ren and Chewbacca, two characters from the Star Wars galaxy who Guests can regularly encounter at Star Wars Launch Bay. In addition to character greetings, the Star Wars Launch Bay is where you can explore galleries full of treasured memorabilia and authentic replicas of large-scale Star Wars artifacts, including some from the latest film in the franchise, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Star Wars Launch Bay is just one experience that has debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to the delight of Star Wars fans over the past two years: “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away” daytime show features characters from around the Star Wars galaxy; while the guest-favorite “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” nighttime spectacular lights up the park each night. Guests age 4-12 can also become Jedi recruits and put their skills to the test in an unforgettable battle against villains like Darth Vader or the Seventh Sister Inquisitor. And just a few months ago, the park’s Star Tours – The Adventures Continue attraction began offering randomized destinations, making different planetary destinations possible for every galactic journey.

Season of the Force - Disneyland!

During Season of the Force at Disneyland® Resort, you can transport into a faraway galaxy filled with epic encounters and thrilling attractions.

On Hyperspace Mountain, you can board the re-imagined Space Mountain attraction and join in a dogfight between Rebel X-wing fighters and the Imperial TIE fighters!

Then, step inside Star Wars Launch Bay to come face to face with some favorite heroes and villains from the saga. They can even explore replicas of movie props and models from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

If you want to experience hyperspace and outrun the Empire, hop aboard Star Tours – The Adventures Continue and fly through everyone’s favorite galaxy far, far away. And, young Padawans can really feel strong with the Force as they test their Lightsaber skills in an immersive show at Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple where they can face Darth Vader!

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story now at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is now open in theaters! And, Disney’s Hollywood Studios® at Walt Disney World® Resort has several exciting offerings inspired by this new film sure!

First, AWR Troopers from the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in a new scene in the park’s existing “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away” daytime show. AWR (Advanced Weapons Research) Troopers are encased in specialized Stormtrooper armor, and serve as the bodyguards and enforcers of Director Krennic of the AWR division of the Empire.

The park’s Star Wars Launch Bay was also updated with new props from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” including a Shoretrooper Blaster, Director Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle, a Death Star model, a U-wing gunship and more. Making-of footage has also been added to the behind-the-scenes film in Launch Bay Theater.

And “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular,” has returned to the park. The show will join the nightly holiday “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” as a second nightly fireworks spectacular at the park now through Dec. 31, 2016.
