Star Wars Immersive Resort Planned for Walt Disney World Resort

Last summer, plans for a Star Wars-inspired destination at Walt Disney World® Resort were announced at the D23 Expo.

The location of this exciting resort addition has been announced: on the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, just east of World Drive. This location will allow the experience to be seamlessly connected to the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, enabling you to fully immerse yourselves in the story of Star Wars. This immersive resort is currently under development

This experience stands out among all of the Disney destinations around the globe. Families visiting this destination will board a starship that comes alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them during their voyage through the galaxy – and every cabin window has views of space! Guests visiting the multi-day adventure will also be welcome to participate as a resident of the Galaxy by dressing in Star Wars-inspired attire.

New Details about the Star Wars Resort

Last summer, the plans for an immersive Star Wars-inspired resort to be built at Walt Disney World® Resort was announced. Now we have more details on this thrilling new resort, which will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®.

This first-of-its-kind resort will combine luxury with complete immersion into an authentic Star Wars story. Guests’ journey through space will start when everyone departs together for a multiday Stars Wars adventure by boarding a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them during a voyage through the galaxy.

At the resort, Guests immediately become active citizens of the galaxy and can dress up in the proper attire. Every resort window will also have a view into space. The opportunity for immersion at this resort will also stand out among all Disney resorts around the globe, as it will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, allowing guests a total Star Wars experience.
