European-Inspired Amenities Coming for Disney’s Riviera Resort

Construction is moving along on Disney’s Riviera Resort, which celebrates the grandeur of Europe. Here are more details of what you can experience by staying at this all-new Walt Disney World® Resort hotel.

The image above showcases the feature pool, Riviera Pool, and S’il Vous Play, an interactive water play area. The feature pool will offer fun for the entire family with a touch of Disney magic. Guests can soak up the sun in lounge chairs, hang out beneath a colorful sun umbrella, or take a trip down a stone turret slide.

Young Guests will love S’il Vous Play, a whimsical fountain featuring several beloved characters from Disney “Fantasia.” With a patina and limestone-inspired design, this area draws inspiration from the grand public fountains seen throughout Europe. The nearby movie lawn will offer the perfect place to take in your favorite Disney film as you lounge poolside.

At Beau Soleil leisure pool will be the perfect place for Guests to kick back and relax under a blanket of sun, or enjoy a bit of quiet time beneath shaded seating areas.

Bar Riva, the open-air pool bar will feature a cool, seaside vibe, and offers the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cold beverage poolside.

And the gorgeous waterfront promenade will offer a relaxing stroll around the resort. All along the promenade, you will be able to enjoy grand views of the resort’s lush European-inspired landscapes.

Plus, Guests staying at Disney Riviera Resort can hop aboard a Disney Skyliner gondola for a bird’s eye view of Walt Disney World Resort. Once aboard, you can take a European-inspired ride through the sky to Epcot International Gateway or Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and on to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, or Disney’s Hollywood Studios®!

Party with Pixar Pals at Disney's Hollywood Studios

2019 marks the 30th anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios® at Walt Disney World® Resort.  Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the perfect place to step into the amazing worlds of Pixar stories like “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story,” and very soon, “Cars.”

An Incredible Celebration brings a Municiberg city block from Disney•Pixar’s “Incredibles 2” to life with a hometown celebration honoring the city’s super heroes – and the hero in all of us! Get caught up in the excitement of “The Super Shindig” featuring Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible and Frozone. You may even find themselves on TV, thanks to the local news crew. “The Super Shindig” is filled with music, dancing, interactive games, and tons of super fun!

The entire area has a great, early-‘60s vibe about it, directly inspired by “The Incredibles.” As Guests explore, they will find fun photo ops, evidence of young Jack-Jack discovering his powers, and super tasty “num num” cookies. Don’t miss The Edna Mode Experience, where after touring a gallery of the famous designer’s super suits, Guests will get to meet Edna Mode herself.

Inside the nearby Walt Disney Presents attraction, you can go on another Pixar adventure when you step through a door to the monster world to say hello to Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan on the Scare Floor of “Monsters, Inc.”

Just around the corner is the all-new Toy Story Land, where you can shrink down to the size of a toy in Andy’s backyard and encounter Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie; get caught up in a game of “Sarge Says” with the Green Army Patrol; or delight in the playfully percussive rhythms of the Green Army Drum Corps.

4-Park Magic Tickets Coming to Walt Disney World Resort in the New Year

The New Year is nearly upon us and the holidays are a time that families cherish and when they often make plans to vacation together in the year ahead. Enjoy the New “Wonderful World of Animation” Nighttime Show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® – Bob unveiled news of an all-new cinematic nighttime experience, “Wonderful World of Animation,” which will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in May 2019 as part of the park’s 30th Anniversary celebration. The show will use state-of-the-art projection technology. to take guests on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, all beginning with Mickey himself  (see rendering above).

Experience Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Imagineers have been hard at work creating Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, using breakthrough technology to transform a two-dimensional cartoon into an amazing real-world experience. The first-ever ride-through attraction themed to Mickey Mouse will feature a new original story and lovable theme song as it takes guests on a journey inside the wacky and unpredictable world of Disney Channel’s Emmy Award-winning “Mickey Mouse” cartoon shorts.

Enjoy New Mickey Mouse Offerings at Disneyland® Park – The festivities will continue at the Disneyland Resort with Get Your Ears On: A Mickey and Minnie Celebration, which will feature new entertainment, food and merchandise. On Jan. 18, 2019,  “Mickey’s Mix Magic” will light up the night at Disneyland Park with all-new music, projections and lasers that set the scene for an epic dance party that takes over almost the entire park. The party will get even bigger when the fan-favorite Mickey’s Soundsational Parade returns to the resort in January 2019 featuring a new float with Mickey himself, who will lead the celebration down Main Street, U.S.A.

‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ Sneak Peak in Disney Parks

If you're visiting the Disney Parks next month, you will be able to preview a sequence from Disney’s new animated adventure “Ralph Breaks the Internet” in sneak peeks planned for Disneyland® and Walt Disney World® Resorts.


Disney’s Hollywood Studios® guests will get to see this advance look at a portion of the film, starting Friday, November 2, as part of the Walt Disney Presents attraction.

At Disneyland park, the preview of “Ralph Breaks the Internet” will be shown in 3D at the Tomorrowland Theater. This limited sneak peek experience will be presented by Mailchimp at Disneyland Resort, November 9 – December 9.



In “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” video-game bad guy Ralph and best friend Vanellope leave the comforts of Litwak’s arcade in an attempt to save her game. Their quest takes them to the vast world of the internet, a world Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces – so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he’s ever had.

Toy Story Land Friends to Dress Up For the Holidays

Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® will join in on the holiday fun this year by dressing up for the holidays with fun new seasonal decor. Here is a first look at what the “Toy Story” friends – Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear – will wear in Toy Story Land this holiday season.

When you visit Walt Disney World® Resort for the holidays, expect to see Woody in a holiday vest adorned with a Christmas tree and presents, as well as a candy cane accessory for his holster. Jessie will also trade in her cowgirl vest for a holiday vest trimmed in a peppermint pattern, while Buzz Lightyear will add a sparkly Santa hat to his out-of-this-world ensemble.

In addition to holiday character greetings, Guests visiting Toy Story Land beginning November 8, 2018, can enjoy the land’s new holiday decor, including including oversized cranberry-and-popcorn garland, a holiday card “selfie” of “Toy Story” pals, an oversized Hamm sugar cookie, Green Alien ornaments and more. The land’s attractions will also be plussed up for the season with new holiday audio or music: Guests will hear sleigh bells ringing on Slinky Dog Dash, while Alien Swirling Saucers will offer two holiday tracks, plus themed lighting.

Starting December 22, 2018, families with little ones visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios® will have more reason than ever to get on their feet and start dancing! The all-new “Disney Junior Dance Party!” live show will rock the park with high-energy songs, dazzling special effects, new friends and beloved characters including Mickey Mouse himself.

Play Big at Toy Story Land Before the Park Opens With Disney Early Morning Magic

Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios allows you to experience all the “Toy Story” fun in Andy’s backyard and has been a smash hit with Guests since the land opened this summer (June 2018).

Because of this land's popularity and hard to get FastPass+ for these new attractions, there is a brand-new way to experience everything the land has to offer, with less of a wait!

On select dates, beginning Sept. 17, 2018, you can experience exclusive, limited-time access to Toy Story Land during Disney Early Morning Magic! Disney Early Morning Magic – which is a separate offering than the Extra Magic Hours enjoyed by guests staying at Disney resorts – allows you to enjoy Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania!, Alien Swirling Saucers, plus character greetings with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie. The experience also includes a continental buffet featuring yogurt, fruit, pastries, and assorted cereal as well as your choice of a tasty main dish like avocado toast or fried chicken and cronut with maple glaze. The breakfast setup will be available at a quick service dining location outside of Toy Story Land.

Disney Early Morning Magic takes place on select Monday and Wednesday mornings from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.  Breakfast will be available until 10 a.m.

The Disney Early Morning Magic experience costs $79 plus tax for adults (ages 10+) and $69 plus tax for children ages 3-9. Tickets are limited for these morning events. A separate ticket for admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is required and is not included in the experience price.
