World of Color’ Nighttime Spectacular – ‘Villainous!’, Debuting at Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure Park

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party, the new separate-ticket party in Disney California Adventure® Park, begins September 17 for 20 select nights. Be treated to an unforgettable night of Halloween fun packed with exclusive new experiences and entertainment, including the new “World of Color” show – “Villainous!”
Oogie Boogie (from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas”) weaves a Halloween tale about a young girl (and all-new character created by Disney animator Eric Goldberg) named Shelley Marie.
In “Villainous!,” Shelley has a decision to make about her Halloween costume for this year, and finds herself wondering if she could really be as strong and unique as some of her favorite Disney villains. This twisted tale carries Shelley on an unforgettable journey through devious encounters with The Queen, Ursula, Dr. Facilier, Hades, Jafar, Maleficent and more
Enjoy watching the villainous side of Disney characters through fountains, lights, lasers, projections and special effects. “Villainous!” shows you that, deep down, there’s a little villain in all of us.
Oogie Boogie Bash, which takes the place of Mickey’s Halloween Party, will feature other new experiences – including an interactive “Descendants”-inspired dance party, a stage show with Mickey Mouse, and a mysterious Disney villains walk-through experience.

Vampirina Is Coming to Disney Parks

Debuting last fall on Disney Channel and Disney Junior, “Vampirina” has become one of the newest hit series for kids and families, ranking among the top five series on TV among girls ages 2 – 5. Now, the star of the show is making her way to Disney Parks, just in time for Halloween!
“Vampirina” blends spooky fun, heartfelt storytelling and Broadway-caliber music in stories that follow Vampirina (aka “Vee”) as she faces the joys and trials of being the new kid in town, including making friends and attending a new school in the human world. Along the way, Vee learns that it may be easier to blend in with her peers, but it’s more valuable to celebrate the qualities that make each individual unique.
Vampirina will be arriving at Disneyland® Resort this fall for Halloween Time. Guests will get to meet her at Disney California Adventure® Park starting Sept. 7, 2018, and Vee will also be making special appearances during the Frightfully Fun Parade at Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park, offered select nights Sept. 19-Oct. 31, 2018. Later this year, she will also join the high-energy cast of “Disney Junior Dance Party!”
Starting Sept. 30, 2018, Vampirina will begin making visits to Walt Disney World® Resort as well, where she’ll join her pals for breakfast at Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine. Later this fall at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, Guests will have a chance to meet her in the Animation Courtyard, and of course, she’ll be part of the fun at the all-new “Disney Junior Dance Party!”

Cars Land will get all gussied up with four-wheeled frights as the citizens of Radiator Springs don their Halloween costumes and decorate their homes to celebrate Haul-O-Ween. From Fillmore’s Jack-Oil Lanterns and Flo’s Spider-Car to Witchy Miss Lizzie’s shop, everybody’s doing all they can to turn Radiator Springs into Radiator Screams! On Buena Vista Street, a spell will be cast with new Halloween decor all along this stylish thoroughfare inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Oogie Boogie has risen from the shadows to take over Disney California Adventure Park, and his oversized silhouette beckons guests through the main entrance as a swarm of bats encircle Carthay Circle Theatre.

New Parade comes to Mickey's Halloween Party

Beginning this year, you are invited to gather for chills and thrills when the all-new “Frightfully Fun Parade” takes to the streets at Disneyland® Park, featuring a spectacle of spooky spirits from the deepest bayous of New Orleans to Halloweentown and beyond!

Want some of the details that have been released about this new, spooky parade? Well, the parade will include The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow who will set the mood as he arrives on his ghostly black steed just ahead of the parade itself, carrying a flickering jack-o-lantern as a warning to everyone along the parade route! Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King, from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” brings greetings from Halloweentown, as residents arrive to celebrate their favorite time of year.  Grim, grinning ghosts come out to socialize when Disney’s iconic Haunted Mansion attraction comes to “afterlife,” with swirling ballroom dancers, ominous gravediggers and a trio of hitchhiking ghosts. Inspired by Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog,” Dr. Facilier calls on mystical powers, summoning his Shadow Men from the bayou to loom large over his strange and twisted Voodoo parlor, and the mischievous Disney Villains appear out of the darkness, ready to stir up some trouble. A dark and dungeon-like lair takes over the parade route, bringing with it a wicked gathering of villainy from Hades and the Evil Queen to Jafar, Cruella and more!

The “Frightfully Fun Parade” will be presented exclusively during Mickey’s Halloween Party, a separately ticketed event at Disneyland Park hosted over 17 nights from September 23 - October 31, 2016.  Email me, lauren@magicaltravel.com, to book your Disneyland vacation and to book tickets to the Halloween Party so you can see this brand new parade!
